The Lazarus Cell
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Patch 1.0.1 Released
This patch adds a button on the Campaign Mode screen to enable you to read at your own pace or speed through the text at the start of a mission.
The Lazarus Cell
You are the Admiral of the space forces assigned to The Lazarus Cell, a secret organization stationed in deep space currently performing research that could help save humanity. You are responsible for the defense of Lazarus Station, for if it falls, the rest of humanity will follow.
When a hostile fleet is detected nearby, your choices are the difference between humanity's survival and extinction. Your choices you make will determine what battles you fight, and your success or defeat in battle will have an effect on the galaxy for years to come.
- Play a branching campaign, where the next mission will depend on the success of your current battle
- Make strategic choices between battles that will change what mission you will play
- High-stakes missions; if you win, you save the galaxy. If you lose, you need to restart the campaign
- 6 unique ship classes; each ship flies differently and has different stats and weapons to master
- Free play mode allows you to play for fun and practice new ship styles
- Fight in battles with up to 50 AI-controlled ships per side
Fire Primary Weapon—Left Click
Fire Secondary Weapon—Right Click (Not all ships have a secondary weapon)
Toggle Ship Highlights—R

The Lazarus Cell runs on MongoAI, a tool specifically designed to accelerate the speed at which game AI evolves. With this improvement, the AI will now learn and evolve as it faces more players! Over time, what we should expect to see it the AI learning to utilize specific classes better suited to their role and hopefully, see some new strategies emerge from the AI. This means that even if you beat the campaign once, you might consider playing it again a few weeks into the future because the AI will now be smarter and present a greater challenge to you!
When you open the game, you will get a box asking for your preferred graphics and resolution. You should always select the highest graphics and resolution settings. This game is 2D so it is not graphically complex, but choosing graphics or resolution other than Ultra or Very High will auto-pixelate Sprites. (This is due to the Unity engine.)
Make sure to extract the zip first! If you don't you will get an error saying UnityPlayer.dll could not be found. To fix this, just open the zip folder and extract it. Now it should be good.
